The Phoenix Neuroscience Research Institute (PNSRI) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit medical research institute; whose mission is to find a cure or disease modifying solution for inflammatory, chronic progressive myopathies and other neurological disorders. Our research is for the benefit of the local and worldwide community of individuals and families impacted by these diseases

The goals and objectives of the Institute are:

  1. 1.To establish the scientific foundations, procedures and/or introduction of novel medical breakthroughs through its medical research efforts that will significantly impact  the way physicians and other healthcare providers diagnose and treat these diseases. Such diseases include Myositis (all forms), Arthritis, Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrig's and Parkinson's disease.

  2. 2.An emphasis will be placed on "orphan" diseases, such as Myositis, which have a severe, chronic progression and sometimes a fatal outcome yet are not high profile researched diseases respective to public awareness, private or government funding and/or pharmaceutical driven interest.

Two areas of research will be focused upon: The development of new treatment alternatives, and earlier disease state recognition test procedures. By enhancing, improving, and expanding the use, application, timing, reliability and accuracy of existing or newly developed diagnostic procedures and therapeutics, health care providers will be able to make earlier and better informed decisions regarding their patient's overall personal health care needs related to these devastating diseases.
